15th Asian Breast Diseases Association (ABDA)
Annual Scientific Meeting 2017

Managing Breast Diseases in a Future World

Welcome Message

Dear Colleague,

We proudly announce the 15th ABDA Annual Scientific meeting and Teaching course 2017. This will be held in Singapore, 4th – 5th November 2017 at the Academia, Singapore General Hospital.

Formed 15 years ago, ABDA today is one of the largest Asian multidisciplinary breast cancer meetings, founded and run in Asia, to address Asian breast cancer issues. The woman is the very core of the family and by projection, the backbone of society. In the Asian Society their role is even more complex and as breast cancer is now among the leading cancers in women across the world the disease carries great social and economic impact.

Through the years, ABDA has conducted, rotated its teaching conference among its member nations, with an emphasis on breast cancer screening, pathology, and surgical and medical oncology. Recently these conferences have also examined the role of breast cancer nursing and cancer advocacy. This year, we will also run a workshop on advanced molecular techniques – the tests and their interpretation. These are tests that now underscore newer modalities in management of the disease and important for us to understand the nuances and import.

We hope you will accept our invitation and we hope to see you in Singapore.

Sincerely,

A/Prof Philip Iau
